Enabling Virtual Reality (VR) for Your Metareal Tours: A Step-by-Step Guide
By default, all Metareal tours support virtual reality (VR). However, it is important to ensure that the VR option is enabled for your specific tour. To verify this setting, follow these steps:
Access the project dashboard and navigate to the "Edit Tour" section.
Switch to "Design View" within the tour editor interface. You can refer to the following image for visual guidance:
On the right side panel, you will find a list of options. Please ensure that the "Show Virtual Reality (Mobile & WebVR)" option is enabled. This can be confirmed using the provided image:
Additionally, you have the option to enable the "Enable 6DOF" feature. This allows users to have more natural movement, including head movements, resulting in reduced motion sickness. Please see the image below for reference:
Once you have made the necessary adjustments, remember to republish the tour for the changes to take effect. For detailed information on republishing tours, please Click Here
Please note that all of our gallery tours are made using 3DOF for VR in order to reduce artifacts, at the cost of not being able to track head movements correctly. The gallery tours were made for Oculus GO, which didn’t have head tracking.
